An exploration in light and texture. The roof of the house floats over the hand hewn concrete walls and allows the light to filter through the home. The large windows embrace the view while the home is tucked gently into the hillside.
A new urban home on a challenging section led to a unique response. Long and thin, the building allows for an abundance of light. The simple, elegant form of the building sits easily in this small farming town and speaks to the owners rural roots.
This new cinema in Martinborough required a fit out to match a contemporary purpose built building. The
requirements of this cinema, restaurant and bar were highly specialised to ensure several different functions could co-exist comfortably.
Originally an abattoir, this 1860s barn has been converted into an airy modern home for a large family.
Innovative use of natural materials and preservation of the existing building where possible has resulted in a highly original and versatile building.
